AMD’s 2nd generation of DX11-compatible graphics cards continues to expand. We are talking about AMD Radeon HD 6570 and HD 6670 models that are to replace HD 5570 and HD 5670 (Redwood).
The new cards are based on a new die, codename Turks (not a re-brand), and refer to entry-level segment. Both come with 480 Stream Processors, however, the rest specs are different. Starting with memory configuration, the first has 2GB of GDDR3 RAM while its elder brother is equipped with 1GB of GDDR5 RAM. The the memory clocks are 1800MHz and 4000MHz respectively. The core clocks differs too, with 650MHz for HD 6570 and 800MHz for HD 6670.
They are said to be launched in Q1 2011, most likely somewhat in February.
