Arctic reveals Accelero Xtreme Plus II cooler
A second revision with extended card compatibility list that includes cards like GeForce GTX 560 Ti, Radeon HD 6970, Radeon HD 6950, etc.
Arctic Accelero Xtreme Plus cooling solution, is only compatible with HD 6870 and GeForce GTX 580, which does not meet requirements of today’s end-users with modern graphics cards.
To support the latest products in graphics segment, Arctic is said to prepare a second revision, called Accelero Xtreme Plus II, with extended card compatibility list that includes GeForce GTX 560 Ti, Radeon HD 6970, Radeon HD 6950, and many others.
The differences between two revisions is quite hard to spot with a naked eye: same three 92mm fans controlled via PWM and five heat-pipes. Overall dimension of Accelero Xtreme Plus II has been reduced a bit, while the heatsink numbers 83 aluminum plates instead of 84 of Accelero Xtreme Plus. All of this allows the cooler to dissipate 250W of heat generated by card.
Fans speed ranges from 900 to 2000 RPM moving up-to 81 CFM of air. Cooler Dimensions are 288 х 103 х 50 mm. The novelty should become available soon with the same price its predecessor, Arctic Accelero Xtreme Plus, has — $75.
