ASRock launches AMD 9-series motherboards

ASRock AMD 9 series motherboards come with a bucketful of technologies aimed at delivering ultimate PC experience!

ASRock is pleased to introduce new motherboards based on AMD 9-series chipsets and made to socket AM3+. The novelties are back compatible with Socket AM3 processors currently available.

ASRock 990FX Extreme4 is a top solution product build on AMD 990FX and SB950 chips. Its design features high-quality condensers while power system including V8+2 phase circuit.

Company points out 990FX Extreme4 to have ASRock XFast USB function increasing USB work speed and Turbo UCC technology that can unlock processor cores! The board has four DIMM slots with maximum capacity of 32GB of Dual Channel DDR3. Supported memory speed rates are, as follows, DDR3-2100(OC)/1866/1600/1333/1066/800 MHz. Expansion flexibility is provided by three PCI Express x16 slots, two PCI Express x1 slots and two PCI slots. Multi graphics card setups is supported with CrossFireX and SLI technologies licensed for 990FX Extreme4. Peripheral device connectivity is delivered through six SATA 3 ports, Gigabit Ethernet adapter, USB2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, eSATA and FireWire, as well as PS/2 and S/PDIF ports, standart set of audio inputs/outputs. To finish off a picture, there are Power/Reset and Clear CMOS buttons on-board.

ASRock 970 Extreme4, is build on 970 chipset. Same as its “elder brother”, the board features three PCI Express slots for graphics card installation. From ASRock words, 970 Extreme4 is the first motherboard on 970 chipset to have support for NVIDIA SLI technology. The novelty is equipped wtih Four DDR3 memory slots, four USB3.0 ports, five SATA 3 ports, two IEEE 1394 ports and 8-channel audio codec.
