The number of Intel Z68 Express based products grows each day. Well-known company, ASRock, plans to present three new motherboards. According to TechConnect Magazine, new motherboards from Taiwanese manufacturer will have the following names: Z68 Extreme4, Z68 Pro3 and Z68 Pro3-M, with the first two having ATX form-factor and the last one — micro-ATX.
All three of them support Sandy Bridge processors through Socket LGA 1155, as well as LucidLogix Virtu and Smart Response (SSD Caching) technologies. Motherboards feature D-Sub, DVI and HDMI display outputs, while Z68 Extreme4 and Z68 Pro3-M have additional DisplayPort. Other than that, Z68 Pro3 and Z68 Pro3-M come with one PCI-Express x16 slot, on the other hand, Z68 Extreme4 includes three slots supporting SLI and CrossFireX modes.
Each motherboard is equipped with four DDR3 2133 DIMM slots, two or four(on Z68 Extreme4) SATA 3 and four SATA 2 ports, Gigabit Ethernet adapter and integrated 7.1-channel audio codec. Don’t forget USB 3.0. Functionality of new motherboards includes UEFI BIOS, Combo Cooler Option and XFast USB. First ASRock Intel Z68 Express based products should see the light during next two weeks. The price is yet to be reveled.
