ASUS G74 gets priced
17-inch display with 1920×1280 resolution, Intel Core i7-2630 QM central processor, 12GB (max 16GB) of DDR3 memory, 1.5TB of storage space and Nvidia GeForce GTX 560M 3GB graphics card and many more
The fourth model of 17-inch display gaming notebooks of ASUS Republic Of Gamers (ROG) series, G74, was announced back in Spring 2011, however, official price information and launch date has become available only now.
In fact, ASUS G74 can be considered as a complete replacement to powerful desktop gaming PC. Large LCD display supports max. resolution of 1920х1080 pixels, full keyboard of typical desktop layout with lights and a powerful CPU based on modern Intel Sandy Bridge architecture — Core i7-2630 QM, one of the power full quad-core processors in mobile segment.
The amount of memory amounts to 12 GB (max supported — 16 GB), storage systems includes two HDDs (7200RPM) with overall capacity of 1.5TB and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M 3GB is responsible for system graphics. Other than that, G74 has Blu-ray optical drive, one USB 3.0 and three USB 2.0 ports plus a set of wireless communication options, exuding 3G-modem. Beside standard version of G74 notebook (G74SX-A1), Asus will begin sales for a 3D version — G74SX-3DE — same time. The first will cost $1745 while the second — $1980.
