Leading motherboard manufacturers continue to surprise us with its products based on Intel Z68 Express chipset. This time its ASUS P8Z68-V PRO board caught in the eyes of Chinese media followed by quite a detailed description.
The model is designed for 2nd generation Intel Core processors with Socket LGA 1155. The board has four DDR3 slots. CPU power system uses 16-phase circuit design with smart load control called DIGI+.
DIGI+ is a parts of Dual Intelligent Processors complex, that includes EPU (Energy Processing Unit) IC and TPU (TurboV Processing Unit). Its main role is to better performance and providing maximum energy efficiency of the system.
As for expansion slots, there are three PCI-E x16, two of which(white and grey) work at x4 speed as well as PCI-E and PCI slots. For storage device connectivity there are eight SATA 2 (white and blue) and SATA 3 (light blue) connectors four of each type.
The back panel has six USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports, optical S/PDIF slot , eSATA ports, Bluetooth adapter and HDMI, D-Sub and DVI outputs.
Box logo refers to support of LucidLogix Virtu technology, that can provide dynamic switch between discrete graphics card and IGP (integrated graphics processor). The price has not been revealed.
