As you might remember, AMD has said that first Mobile and Desktop Llano based systems should hit the market till the end of Q2, that is till end of June. Although specs for desktop solutions has been alredy revealed by several independent testers, company’s price policy for these products remains unknown and could only be estimated by early publications. However, recently, several USA e-stores has added new Desktop Llano processors to its product range :
Price wise, AMD A8-3850 and A6-3650 processors should stand against Intel Core i3-2120 (3.3 GHz) and Core i3-2100/2105 (3.1 GHz) with only two physical cores and 3MB of cache as well as lower integrating graphics system supporting only DirectX 10.1. On the other hand, for AMD followers to shift to Lliano platform will require a purchase of new motherboard with Socket FM1, other that just upgrading CPU.
