The selection of waterblocks offered by Slovenian manufacture, EK Waterblocks, has become wider by two models dedicated to handle hot tempered GeForce GTX 590 cards. New blocks debuted the same day, and are already available for purchase at EK e-store.
Both waterblocks of fullcover type, EK-FC590 GTX-Acetal+Nickel and EK-FC590 GTX-Nickel, share same cooling design (inner structure) which is by the way a bit different compared to previously released fullcover blocks with wave shaped small channels. The main distinction between EK-FC590 GTX-Acetal+Nickel and EK-FC590 GTX-Nickel is material used in its production.
Top part of EK-FC590 GTX-Acetal+Nickel is made of Black POM Acetal, while EK-FC590 GTX-Nickel features clear Acrylicо top. The base part for both blocks is made of electrolytic copper, plated with Nickel to prevent corrosion spread while straight fins are incised right into copper base.
Beside that, to prevent blocks from leaking, it has rubber O-rings that can handle temperatures from 0 to +80 degrees Celsius. EK-FC590 blocks are compatible with all GTX 590 cards of references design only. Regarding price, EK-FC590 GTX-Acetal+Nickel and EK-FC590 GTX — Nickel, cost 129.95 and 124.96 Euro respectively, including VAT.
