EVGA GeForce GTX 570 review
Review of EVGA GeForce GTX 570
Metro 2033
Aerial first person shooter based on Dmitriy Gluhovskoj’s bestseller. Metro 2033 is a game with actions taking place in destroyed underground of post-apocalyptic Moscow.
The game widely uses capabilities of DirectX 11 API, including physics, by mean of graphic cards. We used an integrated benchmark tool that becomes available after game update.
- API: DirectX 11
- Graphics settings: Very High
- Texture Filtering: 16x
- Tessellation: On
- DOF: On
- Advanced PhysX: Off
- Demo record: Frontline
Metro 2033 with quite heavy graphics did gave GeForce GTX 570 a chance to show playable FPS level even at 1280×1024 screen res. However, if we won’t take minimal FPS numbers into consideration, then this card is powerful enough to play this game comfortably up-to 1980×1020 display setting. Though with 4x Anti-aliasing at 1980×1020, the card can’t handle the game very well.
As results, GeForce GTX 570 tops all tested settings without Anti-aliasing. With last turned on, the card gradually gives away its position to Radeon team members.
