Explosion at Intel FAB in Arizona
A blast at FAB not far from Phoenix has injured seven Intel workers.
Seven Intel workers were injured as a result of explosion on a factory near Phoenix.
According to Brad Miller, Fire Department Battalion Chief, the blast of undetermined origin took place at 2 o’ clock local on Intel FAB 22 that is under construction in Chandler, Arizona.
Intel commented it as a brief fire, not an explosion, that won’t effect factory production processes. This incident happened in a separate fabrication complex under construction and designed to make Intel’s new cutting-edge 22-nanometer chips, that are set to launch by the end of this year.
