GeForce GTX 550 Ti gets dual BIOS settings
The card is based on Colorful self-research and features personalized functions, amazing overclocking capability and better performance than the public version.
Colorful Technology was not aside from the launch of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti graphics card and offered its non-reference design solution equipped with some interesting features. The novelty, named iGame550Ti-1024M D5 Ymir, has 5 phase power sub-system and two BIOS chips coupled with custom cooling system with two fans.
It is worth of noting that such coolers were installed on other graphics cards of Colorful brand. Regarding Dual-Bios config, one of them sets the default clocks for GPU/Shader/Memory, as follows: 900/1800/4100 MHz, while the other one allows the card to operate at higher clock — 1000/2000/4400 MHz.
Besides thatm, iGame550Ti-1024M D5 Ymir is based on 40nm GF116 GPU with 192 CUDA Cores and supports DirectX 11 API. Other details include 1GB of GDDR5 memory running through a 192-bit interface, while output connectivity numbers two DVI and one Mini HDMI ports. The pierce of Colorful iGame550Ti-1024M D5 Ymir is not revealed yet, however, it was already spotted on Asian market and should hit Europe region soon.
