Last month Google registered a new domain name — Photovine. Currenlty the site shows advertisement for some kind of app to work with photos on iPhone
As the description says, the app was developed by Slide company that was acquired by Google last year. The first one is social type company that is currently working on several project releases, though Google has also concentrated on Social networks lately. One week ago Slide started sending out invitations for image hosting service Pool Party.
Google has not officially launched the service yet, and there is no sign of corresponding application in App Store too. According to FAQ, Photovine is targeted to create photo collections of entire communities. The service unites people expressing their selves in photos. Each photo set is called Vine, and as soon as as user add his first photo and short description other users can join his Vine with their own photos.
