GT420 released!

Finally, NVIDIA decided to fill up the low-end segment of graphic cards with Fermi based solution, namely GT420.

Finally, NVIDIA decided to fill up the low-end segment of graphic cards with Fermi based solution, namely GT 420. It was first spotted in the list of recently released mobile Geforce 400M GPU series. Moreover, there were not a single official announcement made even after its discovery. Nevertheless, lets take a look at the card itself:

Based on a 40nm GPU, possibly the GF108, the card has a small low profile PCB with a small single slotted fan/heatsink cooler.

The back of the card includes DVI, HDMI and D-Sub outputs which is enough for usual use.
In terms of performance, lets check its specifications while compared to what GTX460 offers:

The new Geforce GT 420 card is not available in retail. Now it is sold as OEM card and most likelywill be put inside pre-configured systems like Dell or HP or others do. No MSRP is not yet revealed.
