MSI 970A-G45 motherboard was first presented at Computex 2011 exhibition almost two weeks ago, but no details has leaked since then. However, today VR-Zone managed to get its hands on the board and disclosed some valuable information including pricing.
Despite the fact that MSI 970A-G45 is an entry level solution among AMD 9-series products, it has heatsink not only over chipsets but power elements (VRM) too. The last is know to have 4+1 phase design which is enough for everyday stable use, but not for overclocking.
The board is equipped with two PCI Express x16 slots (the second one works in x4 mode), two PCI Express х1 slots and two PCI slots, as well as four DDR3 memory DIMMs. Drive connectivity is provided by six SATA 3 ports and three connectors made to USB 2.0 interface ports. MSI 970A-G45 I/O panel features six USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports, COM and PS/2 ports, S/PDIF connector, Gigabit Ethernet adapter and six 3.5mm jacks for 7.1-channel audio system connection.
Price wise, source indicates MSI 970A-G45 to be available for 82 Euro ($146). It may sound a bit high, but, mostly the price will go down a bit when Zambezi processors are finally out.
