World Premier: 3DMark for Windows 8 tech demo at the MSI booth at Computex
Futuremark, the world leader in performance benchmarking software, once again partners with MSI to showcase the latest version of the 3DMark at Computex after unveiling 3DMark 11 together at Computex 2010. In the MSI Lightning area, a 3Dmark for Windows 8 DirectX 11.1 tech demo will be shown publicly and will be powered by MSI’s flagship GTX 680 Lightning graphics card for the first time to show the next-generation gaming effects through the powerful capabilities of GTX 680 Lightning graphics card. 3DMark for Windows 8 is currently in development and is expected to be released later this year.

MSI GTX 680 Lightning

The MSI GTX 680 Lightning graphics card will be unveiled at Computex 2012. It features an Unlocked Digital Power Architecture that incorporates an Unlocked BIOS, Digital PWM Controller, and Enhanced Power Design to unleash the full overclocking potential of the NVIDIA GK104 GPU. Moreover, it implements the innovative GPU Reactor power supply module which, when installed on the back of the GPU, increases current volume, reduces power supply noise, and improves overall overclocking stability. As for thermal solution, it utilizes the Twin Frozr IV Thermal Design with Dust Removal Technology. The dual fan setup with Propeller Blade Technology and SuperPipe technology allows for fast heat dissipation while remaining whisper silent. Finally, it is equipped with Military Class III components certified to MIL-STD-810G military standard ensuring the best stability under any circumstance.
