NVIDIA intros GeForce GTX 560M and GT 520MX
A high-end solution for gamer notebooks and alternative to integrated graphics for ultra thin laptops
NVIDIA has presented its first, as it is said, true mobile gaming graphics processor GeForce GTX 560M. The key features of the novelty is support for 3D Vision technology, PhysX and GPGPU computing.
GeForce GTX 560M specification includes 192 CUDA cores and 192-bit memory bus. Clock rates fro GPU, Shaders and Memory are 775, 1550 and 5000 MHz respectively. Memory buffer size can be either 1.5 or 3 GB of GDDR5. The card supports SLI to create even more powerful gaming platform. The specs reminds us of GeForce GTX 550 desktop card. So we can expect similar performance. Meanwhile nvidia shows its vision of GeForce GTX 560M speed compared to other mobile solutions:
NVIDIA GeForce GT 520MX is positioned differently. Its main role is to speed up performance of ultra thin notebooks delivering more possibilities than integrated graphics.
GeForce GT 520MX features 48 CUDA cores and 64-bit wide interface.GPU/Shader/Memory are clocked at 900/1800/800Mhz. The GPU can be accompanied with either 512 or 1GB of GDDR3.
