PNY combines Water and GTX 580
The novelty, targeted mainly at overclockers and hardware lovers, has a distinguishing feature — closed loop Water Cooling system from Asetek
PNY plans to release another enthusiast solution based on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 card. The novelty, XLR8 GTX 580 Enthusiast Edition, is targeted mainly at overclockers and hardware lovers, with card’s distinguishing feature — closed loop Water Cooling system from Asetek — that was first surfaced at CeBIT 2011 and designed specifically for High-end graphics cards.
The cooling kit, which currently has no name, includes one 120mm fan mounted on a single 120 radiator that is connected to a cooling plate with integrated pump. Regarding XLR8 GTX 580 Enthusiast Edition card itself, according to video below, it passes Furmark test with max temperature of 45.8 degrees Celsius, which i significantly lower compared to reference cooler.
Even when overclocked to 995/1846/4400 MHz for GPU/SHader/Memory, the max temperature did not exceeded 52 degrees Celsius while noise level generated by the cooling system goes as high as 34.6dB. Unfortunately, its stock clock rates are not disclosed, same as price and launch date. Perhaps, more data arrives in May-June.
