PowerColor Radeon HD 6790 caught in retail network

Powercolor has decided to reveal its variant of AMD Radeon HD 6790 card

Followed by Sapphire and Colorfire, Powercolor has decided to reveal its variant of AMD Radeon HD 6790 card. The card, model number AX6790 1GBD5-DH, is equipped with non-refernce cooler with estimated clock rates of 840/1050 (4200QDR) MHz for GPU/Memory. What is more interesting this card is already available for purchase at Newegg at a price of $149.99 (at least it was an hour ago ;)).


Dual-slot cooling system includes a fan located in the center and three copper heatpipes. Apart from that, Powercolor branded HD 6790 uses 40nm GPU with 800 SPs and 40 TMUs. The memory config features 1 GB of GDDR5 over a 256-bit interface. There are three output connectors located on PCI bracket — DVI, HDMI and Mini DisplayPort, while the card only requires one additional 6-pin power connector to fully operate.


The card should debut on 5th of April.
