Sapphire prepares Pure Black series motherboards

Sapphire has introduced Intel-favored motherboards based on X58 and P67 chipsets.

Looks like AMD-Fusion based mini-ITX motherboard gave Sapphire a start to the whole series of new motherboards. According to latest news, Sapphire has introduced Intel-favored motherboards based on X58 and P67 chipsets.

Pure Black X58 motherboard, supports Core i7 processors with LGA 1366Soket, total of 24GB of DDR3 memory via six DIMM slots and SLI and Crossfire X technologies due to four on-board PCIe x16 slots. As the name states, the PCB is black.

Sapphire Pure Black X58 is high-performance motherboard featuring two SATA-III and two USB 3.0 ports as well as SATA II ports. This is important because originally the Intel X58 + ICH10R chipset does not offer support for SATA-III and USB 3.0 technologies. Other features include Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, 7.1 channel high definition audio.

Next is SAPPHIRE Pure Black P67 Hydra. Now this motherboard combines the Intel P67 chipset with the Lucid Hydra chip to allow a mix of graphics configurations to be used The board had many state of the art features such as on-board USB3.0, two sets of SATA III as well as SATA II ports, four dual channel DDR3 memory slots and 3 Gen2 (x16/x8/x8) and one Gen1 (x4) PCI-Express expansion slots as well as a host of peripheral connections and on-board 8-channel audio.

Both motherboards have many features to support ‘overclocking’. The power sections are highly stable, featuring solid capacitors and SAPPHIRE Diamond Black chokes. Moreover, there are debug LEDs and voltage reading points and on board power, reset and clear CMOS buttons which are highly evaluated by overclocking community.

These novelties will be available soon, thought the price information is missing.
