SilverStone Technology, one of the premier companies in computer component design, announces the immediate worldwide availability of its latest USB 3.0 products, EC01, EC02, and EC03.
EC02 is a compact ExpressCard with USB 3.0 port designed to fit flush with ExpressCard slot equipped laptop.
EC01 and EC03 in particular, are the first PCI Express cards on the market to feature the 19pin USB 3.0 header, a connection standard that has become an increasingly common fixture on motherboards released in 2011. These products enable users to add USB 3.0 front ports without resorting to routing cables out of the chassis or replacing existing motherboards.
SilverStone Technology was also the first company to introduce retail computer chassis equipped with 19pin USB 3.0 connector when it released Milo ML03 HTPC chassis in December 2010. It is looking to aggressively populate its product with this connection standard throughout 2011 and beyond. Current users of popular SilverStone chassis such as RAVEN RV02 and Fortress FT02 may purchase cable kit (part number G11303260) to upgrade to USB 3.0 ports with connector that is compatible with 19pin USB 3.0 header.
