GeForce GTX 580 is already available for purchase. There are lot of reviews published already.
As we know, GTX 580 uses an innovative cooling system — vapor chamber, however, even with smaller TDP values this cards still has high operating temps at full loads, for example when running Furmark. Moreover, at full loads GTX 580 automatically lowers the operating voltage and clocks through VGA driver in order to protect the cards from overheating.
Of course, there are ways to turn off that safety feature, though its gives about 8 to 10 degrees temperature difference. Still this is not enough for overclocking fans.
The good news is that Thermalright’s VGA heat-sinks Shaman and Spitfire are now compatible with can Ge force GTX580 graphic card.
As manufacturer states:
With Thermalright Shamman installed you will have much lower temperatures and less noise produced compared to stock GTX 580 cooling system. This should satisfy even hard-to-please user.
